I'd like to be able to rename group messages in the standard SMS/MMS app. The ability to rename them instead of having a list of names and numbers associated with the conversation itself would help to differentiate conversations that involve the same people. As it stands, only 2-3 names/numbers can be displayed in the header of the group text and it would make things much simpler to be able to add a custom name/header to group text conversations.

Switch to Google Messages you can rename group chats and leave them plus so much more!! Also between now and the end of the year you will have RCS which is great news!!
