So I definitely feel like the new animations are an improvement over the old ones, but they are very jittery and stutter all the time.

They were for me as well after I updated, but once I did a factory reset, the phone is stable and about 95% more smooth than before. I highly suggest a factory reset, as clearing the system cache it doesn't always fix the issue.

Is a pain to start again to put all the banks cards in Samsung pay, reward, the watch etc etc etc
