beta 2 was the best it didnt lag for example when you closed am app with the new gestures, but beta 7, there seem to be frame drops here and there. The look is better in beta 7, it's just it feels much more sluggish compared to beta 2. Dont know if it'll be fixed by final release.
Please try clearing the system cache and rebooting your device.
