When I text through the notification panel it won't get rid of the messeges icon in the notification bar and lock screen. I never can tell if I got a new text or not. The only way to get rid of it is marking it as read or swipe away. Please fix so I can text using the notification panel!
I believe that is actually a feature , not a bug. Google's "Messages" app does the same thing. It allows for you to look back at the message to read it.
I like that you can use the notification panel to text but it shouldn't keep the message icon in the notification bar and lock screen it makes it look like you have a new message.
