My new galaxy tab S8 battery drains 1.5%/hr on idle with "everything" turned off. I returned it it to Samsung and they found nothing wrong. The tablet's power monitoring app(s) are unable to detect "unusual" battery issues. Other tab S8 users have the same problem, some far worse than mine! This expensive model has a design defect, no doubt!
I next bought a new Galaxy tab A9+ which has no battery drain at idle w/ both screen and apps "off." It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the tab S8 and takes twice as long to charge, but does the basics very well & also has 4 good speakers at 1/3 the cost. I won't buy another "high-end" product from Samsung again!
Same. My friend 1-2 year older iPad Pro last longer that my Tab S8 Plus. Plus, I also suffer green line issue on this tab, and asked RM 1.1k to replace the screen. Very nice Samsung.
