If you are afraid to factory reset your phone because you find it intimidating and worrisome, I'm here to show you how easy it can be. [Using Samsung Backup]
*I've posted before how important it is to do a COMPLETE FACTORY RESET AFTER THE 1ST INITIAL BETA (which I think it's safe to say a vast majority still haven't done since the 1st new install - and are wondering why they are still having severe issues with bugs and functionality). After you back every thing up just do the same thing after the phone has loaded up and all your apps are updated.
*At this point I'd suggest uninstalling any preinstalled bloatware. After everything is updated and you've uninstalled the apps you don't want, I'd usually shut the phone off and then CLEAR THE SUSTEM PARTITION CACHE through the BOOTLOADER MENU. POWER+VOLUME UP+BIXBY-CLEAR CACHE PARTITION. [The reason this is important is because you just updated a ton of things on the phone and have just also uninstalled a lot of apps. That leaves a lot of "dirt" behind]. This cleans it all up. 👍
My phone has been flawless so far minus a few bugs here and there but from what I'm reading some of them are pretty bad.
If the developers want real life feedback on upgrades then they aren't going to want us to factory reset. This is because of all the hundreds of thousands of phones out there...WE are most likely the only ones who are going to factory reset for an upgrade unless instructed to do so by carrier/manufacturer tech support. Also, how is it that you are smarter than the actual folks running the beta? I mean if it was so terribly crucial then why wouldn't the beta notice say in all caps...YOU MUST FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE to participate. The reason the developers aren't telling us to factory reset is because it's not necessary unless you've already done something to jack up your phone..like installing suspect apps or clicking on nefarious sites in your browser. YOU may think it's important but apparently the folks who actually wrote the code don't think it's crucial.
95+ of people using phoness, tablets & laptops don't do a FACTORY RESET, even they received a BIG software update, and the worst part is that they have ALL those devices for years.
Means, this so called TIPS & WAYS to do it, is only for 1%-5% of people in the planet, who has the TIME & PATIENCE to do it!
SAMSUNG & other companies MUST know how to send a SOFTWARE UPDATES without those 95+ earthlings will resort to do all those kinds of hooplas...
LET'S BE HONEST TO OURSELVES, we are not even 1% of the population of the users of smartphones in the world, so SAMSUNG have to find the EASIEST & SIMPLEST way to update the software with very MINIMAL PROBLEMS, so NO ONE will need to do a FACTORY RESET!!!
STOP with stupid & impossible TIPS...
I'm doing BETA testing since 2010, and I know that people around the world has NO TIME for that!!!
