Hey guys,

For those of you who participated in the original One UI Beta last year, welcome back! And for those of you who are new to betas, welcome!

I'm sure most of you have encountered this crash and I'm here to help you solve it. In order to solve the crash and prevent future crashes, go to Settings->Device Care->Storage->Advanced->Internal Storage->Other Apps->3 dot drop down menu->Show System Apps. Once you have done this, you will need to find Media Storage and Sec Media Storage and clear data for both. Once you've cleared the data for both, go ahead and reboot your device.

I hope this helps you guys solve this issue.

As always, enjoy the beta! Let's get this thing to an official release!!!

Nick

Tried this solution and it worked temporarily then the app just started crashing again after trying to access the sec media storage after the reboot

That's odd, did you clear data for both before performing the reboot? Because this will only work if you clear it for both before rebooting.

Um, that should not happen. I and many others have done this and no pictures or videos were lost. Did you reboot after clearing both datas?
