"Weak charging detected" shown

Hello Beta users,

 

Some customers have reported that they are seeing "Weak charging detected" message.  "Weak charging detected" does not mean that the phone you are using is defective.It may appear when you are using USB connection, low performance charger, defective charging cable or due to charging cable connection failure. A weak charging pop up is shown when the device is plugged into the charger and in the last 5 minutes the battery level has dropped.Please use it after checking above conditions.

Get this message sometimes. Always while using the official Samsung fast wireless charger. Have 2 chargers and get it on both. Never when plugged in directly

I been using the same cable since launch, and the phone always charged fast even while using the phone, now after the updates now I'm getting the message? So it's a bit hard to believe that's the cable and not the update, if it was purely the cable we would of seen it before hand as well, or notice weak charging without any message (is not like we don't use the phone everyday) so this cannot be a hardware issue, if it is most people are using ehter the cable or power brick, or both that are provided out of the box

I get this message almost every three times I put it on. I unplug it, remove the power cord USB adapter and plug it all back in and it works after that but I didn't never have that message pop up before beta so this is a bug maybe?

I have seen this a few times while using my iOttie wireless fast charging car mount. It's usually when I'm running both Waze and iHeart radio simultaneously. Even though I may see this notification once in a while, I don't really freak out about it because my phone has EXCELLENT battery life. I tend to baby my battery based off my research. I don't leave it on charge when it's full and I never leave it plugged in overnight. I also don't let if fully deplete. While in the car it is usually plugged in or wirelessly charging and lately with the new wireless fast charging mount I find myself needing to unplug the charger because I'm easily at 100% before the trip is done. I guess if your phone is constantly showing weak charging then that may be a concern. If it's infrequent, maybe there are several apps running and maybe the power source is inconsistent for a few minutes. I find that my phone still charges just fine even after I get the weak charging notice. Good luck!

I get this message randomly from the Samsung Members app. I use chargers and cables that support fast charging and never had this message with Android 9.

Also, this message is VERY inconsistent. I only get it occasionally with my fast chargers, but the phone still fully charges even when I get this message and have apps like Waze open on road trips.

never had this message before the beta. now after beta, it's almost as soon as I plug the charger in, and it's still charging just fine.

I get the weak charging all the time and I'm using the cable and the battery charger that came with the phone
