If you aren't someone who wants to stay upbeat on  Bluetooth devices are by you all the time, a great way to save battery life is to turn off "nearby device scanning." 

You should see an improvement on battery life with it off. When it's on, the device and periodically for Bluetooth devices even when the Bluetooth setting is turned off.

I had turned this off when I had first downloaded the beta because I realized it wasn't working correctly anyway. nor did anything ever really pop up I had to manually go into bluetooth and scan then connect
