I paired my Galaxy watch 3 to my Samsung s24 ultra then setup its Samsung Pay. When paying merchant and smrt it fails with message Invalid Card.

I am using same card with S24 with no issue and it works if paired with S22 ultra.

Anyone having the same issue?

I have the same issue. Apparently it is because of the NFC default NFC method that needs to be changed from Auto to Android Operating System. It has been documented before in the past, here's the website with the needed change:

https://www.hongjun.sg/2019/04/how-to-make-samsung-pay-work-for.html?m=1

I messaged Samsung about the problem, they replied that the 3 dots to change the default NFC method has been removed in OneUI 6.0 and the S24 will use auto in the setting. So now I'm stuck with no solution, cause i can't change the setting. Attached photos show the same problem I have at the faregates as you, 2nd and 3rd photo shows the 3 dots in my S22 Ultra that I can change the default NFC method setting.20240128_140158_1000007428_1706421721.jpg20240128_032657_1000007415_1706383641.jpg20240128_032724_1000007416_1706383654.jpg

I don't think it's the watch problem. I am using the Watch5 and the Samsung Pay works normally. You need to delete the credit card in Samsung Pay (for watch) app, then add back the credit card for watch tap to work at faregates. You will need to trigger the Samsung Pay by using the add card function on the watch. If you search directly from the phone using the keywords 'Samsung Pay', the result you get is Samsung Wallet. For some frustrating reason. Samsung Pay for phone has been changed to Samsung Wallet, and you won't be able to access Samsung Pay (for watch) unless you trigger from your watch.

Currently, my Watch 5 can tap as normal at faregates and buses, after deleting and re-adding the credit card in Samsung Pay(for watch). It's the phone that can't work properly.

Here are the photos of what I'm talking about. On your watch, go to Samsung Pay and choose add card. Then continue on your phone, you will see the page to add card. You will realised that is it in Samsung Pay that won't appear if you search directly in the phone. If you search for the words 'Samsung Pay' in the S24 directly, only Samsung Wallet will appear. Yes, very confusing I know, I spent the whole day trying to figure out what's happening20240128_232153_1000007485_1706455314.jpg1706455739001.jpg1706455739013.jpg1706455739023.jpg

Oh then that's different from me. I can't get the phone to work, only my Watch5 works at the faregates. Only for normal payment at shops, both watch and phone works normally. Hope my photos help to solve your problem.
