WearablesAfter updating the Galaxy Watch 6 to One UI 6.0, the fast forward and rewind buttons in the media controller no longer function.
Steps to Reproduce:
- I updated the Galaxy Watch 6 to One UI 6.0.
- Opened the media controller tile on the watch.
- Played a podcast from Pocket Cast and You Tube music.
- On the older UI, pressing the fast forward or rewind buttons skipped forward or backward in the media being played.
- After the update, pressing the fast forward or rewind buttons has no effect. Playback continues as if the buttons were not pressed.
Environment:
- Device: Galaxy Watch 6
- OS Version: One UI 6.0
- Paired Device: Pixel 9 Pro XL
- Media Apps Tested: Pocket Cast, YouTube Music
- Connection Method: Bluetooth
Additional Information:
- The play/pause button works as expected.
- Issue persists across multiple media apps.
- Restarting the watch and paired device did not resolve the issue.
- Media control functionality was working properly before the update.

WearablesI have a Pixel 9 Pro. It was working fine before the update.
Do I have to buy a Galaxy Smartphone to continue using this feature?

WearablesI wouldn't bother. I have a ZFlip 6 and it no longer rewinds and fast forward like before.

WearablesI have the same issue. Started after I upgraded my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic BT to One UI 6, and I have a Galaxy Z Fold 6 paired with it. Had no issues with Spotify or YouTube Music before the upgrade, but now Media Controller just shows generic rewind and fast-forward icons that do nothing when tapped. Netflix and Disney+ do seem to be working fine, though.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or knows how to solve it?

WearablesI have the same exact issue. I used the rewind and fast forward feature all the time while I work. Now I can't use it at all and it's making me seriously consider on getting another smartwatch. A shame cause I really liked galaxy watch before this change. If a developer is reading this please reconsider and put the rewind and fast forward back into media controls.

WearablesThat is where I am at as well. I use the features a lot at work. I'm thinking about getting a pixel watch now. I really like the Galaxy Watch but I use the media controller all the time.

WearablesUPDATE: One MONTH later and Scamsung STILL hasn't fixed this issue.
Same issue here. Galaxy watch 6 update to one UI 6 paired with S24 ultra. I rely on fast forward/ rewind media controls for my workouts. Samsung continues to push me towards apple. Who knows how many months this feature will be broke ...
