I am not accepting the rude answer "But rcs service is not opened to public use and is not based on android platform. It is one of Samsung Messages' service." This is absolutely wrong way. So please answer my questions.
May I ask the reason for asking? The reason is, messaging is carrier service so messaging functions are closely discussed with carriers. Since Message App rollout for each country is different, we would like to know which country and which service you are planning.
I am working for call center software company nearby Seocho-1-Dong and I should fetch all incoming SMS and MMS complete with images. I know that com.samsung.android.messaging app store all incoming messages into internal database "content://im/chat". Here with querying content resolver I can pull every 10 seconds SMS and MMS as chat message. Unfortunately the Samsung developer team also turn off the broadcast intent for incoming messages. Therefore from now on I must pull every time for new messages. We have here several test phones and each phone with com.samsung.android.messaging app shows same behavior.
I can't understand why access to chat images are such a big secret for third party developer. I discussed this very poor Samsung team behavior also with our company owner. This looks like fighting our company against Samsung. Why Samsung does this? This poor behavior helps nobody. And I have to finished my task. Therefore I need answers.
