뉴욕에서의 두 번째 날, 바로 2025 갤럭시 언팩행사가 열리는 7월 9일인데요
아침 일찍 몸이 자동으로 일어나져서 곧바로 나갈준비를 마치고 호텔 식당에서 간단하게 조식을 먹은 뒤 언팩현장으로 출발했습니다.

호텔에서 나오자마자 어제 삼성 멤버스 커넥트 오리엔테이션에서 알려줬던 그룹별 지정된 버스로 가서 인원체크를 하고 탑승했는데요

탑승 후 이동하던 중간에 언팩 장소를 들어가기 위해 필요한 언팩 태그를 받았습니다. 태그 뒷면을 보면 한글로 갤럭시 언팩이라고 적힌 스탬프가 찍혀 있었습니다.
그냥 스탬프일뿐인데 한글로 적혀있으니 기분이 묘하더라고요😊

그렇게 약 한시간 정도 달려 언팩현장에 도착했습니다.
막상 현장에 가보니 정말 많은 인파들로 붐볐는데요 글로벌 멤버스 스타즈 뿐만 아니라 테크 유튜버들 그외 인플루언서분들도 밖에서 대기하고 계셨습니다.

그렇게 뜨거운 햇빛 아래서 몇 분을 기다렸을까요? 행사장 문이 열리면서 하나둘 입장하기 시작했습니다.
입장후 본 행사장은 좌우로 길게 뻗은 형태로 되어 있었는데 E팀과 F팀은 발표석 바로 앞 1열과 2열에 착석했습니다. 완전 맨앞에 앉아보는건 첨이네요
언팩 시간이 되자 나오는 TM.Roh사장님의 환영인사를 시작으로 제품들이 공개되었는데요

Z 폴드7의 경우 펼쳤을때 4.2mm, 접었을땐 8.9mm로 지금까지 출시된 제품 중 가장 얇은 두께라고 언급했는데요 이를 위해 아머 플렉스 힌지를 새롭게 적용하고 내구성을 유지하기 위해 티타늄 소재를 사용함과 동시에 UTG의 두께를 50% 더 증가시켜 더욱더 견고하게 했다고 합니다.
카메라도 S25울트라와 같은 200MP 광각 카메라 탑재와 AI 시스템이 강화되어 디테일, 생생한 색상, 풍부한 질감등을 포착해 생생한 사진과 영상을 찍을 수 있다고 합니다.
저는 이번 Z 폴드7에서 매력적으로 느껴졌던 부분을 한가지 뽑자면 얇은 두께였습니다. 사실 지금까지의 폴드는 휴대성이 가장 큰 단점으로 생각했었는데요 이제 1cm도 되지 않는 두께, 21:9비율에 6.5인치로 넓어진 화면이 탑재되면서 이 부분이 크게 다가왔습니다.

진짜 힘겹게 들어갔지만 그것도 잠시 체험할 수 있는 시간이 너무짧아 간단하게 Z 플립7과 Z 폴드7의 모습만 간단하게 보고 다음 일정을 위해 이동해야 했습니다.
그래도 따로 제품을 보고 체험할 수 있는 Experience Space에서도 좀더 긴 시간동안 볼 수 있다고 해서 제품에 대한 부분은 Experience Space에서 체험해본 뒤 추후에 다시 다뤄보도록 하겠습니다.
