Subject: DeX mode and SHIFT/CTRL + SPACE switch problem for external keyboard on the galaxy tab S6.

Hi guys how can I set the switch language with another keyboard shortcut?

At the moment the SHIFT/CTRL+SPACE shortcut conflict with emacs app I use frequently.

I suggest:

1) All system shortcut in System settings shoud be customizable to arbitrary combination of keys.

2) If there is practice hardcode keyboard' shortcuts is unbrakable

than change SHIFT/CTRL + SPACE to Command(Meta)+SPACE.

The reason is Command/Meta are designed for system shortcut such as change language, notification call and etc.

Using "SHIFT/CTRL + SPACE" for the system shortcut quite bad couse they interrupt user space app keybinding.

In this tread same issue described, but it seems the problem still unsolved.

In google search there are bunch similar question.

And one solution is change keyboard app.

But in DeX it is impossible using another than Samsung keyboard app.

I appreciate any solution or help with this matter.

Hello~

We have received a lots of voices from many users regarding keyboard language change shortcut.

Finally an option for disable shift/ctrl+space is added on hardware keyboard setting from One UI 2 !

Once you update your tablet to One UI 2, you can set it off and use only left alt+shift shortcut.

However, One UI 2 update schedule for tablets are not fixed yet, so please wait for further notice.
