AOD functions like an IPS LCD, it does not turn off all screen.

I saw a fix where we need to turn off auto brightness of AOD and set to max brightness to work properly like an AMOLED.

Is Samsung aware of this issue and will it be improved?

What phone are you using? This is a common issue for the A52 Series and S20 FE. I'm using A52, the bug was fixed on One UI 4 Update.

Yes A52s it's in my title. How much AOD % usage is in your battery?

It consumes about 0.8% , update it to the latest firmware.
