Galaxy AWhy is Always-On Display running at 120Hz instead of adapting to 60Hz? On my Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, I noticed through the "Show Refresh Rate" option in Developer Mode that it consistently stays at 120Hz, even with Motion Smoothness set to Adaptive. I haven’t tested this on other devices, so I’m unsure if it’s specific to the A55. However, keeping a static 120Hz refresh rate for a feature like Always-On Display seems unnecessary and likely increases battery consumption, which undermines the purpose of a low-power mode.

Galaxy Aidk, i don't use both: i use 60Hz and i don't use AOD, i prefer sound notification, sometimes vibration only, and i am lazy to test that refresh rate for AOD on my phone because i prefer 60Hz
well if you concern about battery life, you should just turn off AOD in the first place, but do whatever you want with your phone
