For me, I have always used gesture navigation since the removal of physical buttons. But I don't use the Apple's way of gesture, where I still maintain the 3 virtual buttons - Recent, Home and Back keys.

As a quick guide:
Buttons
Pros: Easy to tap, conveninent as all navigation options are at the bottom
Cons: Takes up some screen space, looks less modern
Swipe Gestures
Pros: Feels more fluid and modern, can swipe anywhere along the length of the screen, takes up less screen space
Cons: Might accidentally swipe the navigations when touching the screen (e.g. wiping dust off the screen), may be confusing if other gesture-related functions are used (e.g. swipe up for Samsung Pay/Google Assistant, swipe to the side for Side Panel/screenshot)
I personally have switched to Swipe Gestures as it feels more 'cool' to me. But I must say Buttons are more practical in my opinion. Experiment for yourself and see which fits your use case better! :)

Yes.. swipe Gestures have been my habit since 3 years ago, as I want to maximise my screen viewing experience. Having buttons visible would mean the screen is smaller by a bit.
Anyway, it's up to own preferences, as for Samsung users, we are given the flexibility to switch from swipe gesture to button anytime anyday.
Don't really like the iOS home-swipe gesture, as missing the back key, which is important if an app doesn't have a back button at the top left and the Samsung's back navigation key serves its functionality well. ✌️

I have tried swipe b4 but i always have a lot of accidental swipe out of screen which leads to home.
Not sure if its a habit thingy.
Agree, swipe is more modern

Hi, u can actually adjust the sensitivity to ur liking. If you find that u often have accidental swipes, u can set to Lower, so that a light swipe won't detect the motion as a gesture and will ignore.
