Configure Advanced setting on mobile hotspot

Can anybody help? My phone a51:

1. Can't add allowed devices on mobile hotspot (keep on spooling)

2. Can't configure advance setting to change broadcast channel (my WiFi adapter can't recognise/find my hotspot - the customer care of the adapter ask me to change that channel to 6 @ 11).

On you mobile tethering configuration, hav you tried security Open? Maybe your scanning device doesn't support WPA2 type security. Like my PSP, it is unable to connect to WPA2 security type connection. Supports either Open security or 1st gen WPA security. Not WPA2

what is the device u need to connect hotspot?

it is my desktop windows 7. using DWA-123 N50 adapter.

why not try using USB tethering if all option fails?

I did. but unsuccessful. it says, driver software can't be installed.

is your phone hotspot detectable by other WiFi devices? As it is to make sure it isn't your device hotspot problem. If is detectable then try using other cables to usb tether or maybe get new WiFi adapter such as the tp link T2u or something similar.
