Hello all.

I was hoping someone can help me with my problem. So, I have an A53 5g phone, this morning the fingerprint sensor suddenly stop working. Turned the screen on via side button and it showed me (initially) something that says "fingerprint corrupted". I had to use my pattern to unlock it. Then I ran diagnostics, skipped the fingerprint bc apparently its not working. I went on to the settings and tried to re register my fingerprints but now it says "fingerprint sensor calibration needed" (pls see attached photo below). I turned off my phone, restarted thinking it will resolve the issue but no. Went to settings again but still the same. Is there anything else I can do in my end to fix this without resorting to service center? TYIA

Kung pwede pa wipe the sensor thoroughly but carefully pero kapag hindi na you have to go to the Customer Care center for help po. You can check din by going to diagnostics where you can check the life of the sensor as well as the other important fuctions sa phone.

May I ask what you did to fix the issue?

Time to time I check the settings to see if the fingerprint scanner would allow me to reset mine til it finally did. This comes with restarting and running diagnostics of the phone. The google searches and YT clips I watched werent a help at all as they just basically told me to have it repaired. I have a theory it was due to accidental scratches or prolonged force to the scanner area (idk) which causes mine to get corrupted and it took a time off from me to heal itself lol.
