FIXED! Cant download files from Messenger

Hi! Im using A56 and cant find a work around fixing this.

Tried clearing cache, clearing data, uninstalling then reinstalling. Tried sending the file to myself. 

First prompt before this was asking where do I want to open it: between Chrome/Google and Reddit. I chose Chrome/Google. 

I need help 🥲 Thank you!
