My phone isn't charging 25 watts with original charger and other 25w chargers. It does charge up with other chargers with lower wattages. I already had it serviced. What's wrong with it?

Sorry to hear about that. I suggest bring it back to the Authorized Samsung Service Center to have it check again. 😊

Hello KeanAmor,

We are sorry to hear about your experience with your beloved Samsung Galaxy A73 having issues with charging with the original charger and other 25-watt chargers, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused you.

After trying out several methods to charge the device but it turns out not to be improving, I may feel alarmed too, expecting my device to work as normal. But don't worry; we are here to guide, assist, and offer solutions to restore it to working the way it should.

Before you try out the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install.

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 4. Restart your device.

If that doesn't work, you may submit an error report through the Samsung Members app as follows:

Step 1. Long press Samsung Members icon on Apps screen and tap Error reports.

Step 2. Tap OK on agreement popup to send system log data.

Step 3. Select Symptom category "Power/Battery/Charging".

Below are some items to be checked to ensure convenient charging experiences.

The latest Galaxy mobile devices are equipped with an internal coil for wireless fast charging and wired adaptive fast charging, a built-in feature that allows the battery to charge much quicker.

If the USB cable is not properly plugged into the charging adapter, even if you are using a fast charger, your mobile device will not charge rapidly. Check that you have pushed the USB cable tightly into the charger, otherwise, the fast charging feature will not work and very low charging capacity will be supplied to your mobile device. Accordingly, the charging speed will decrease and time to charge the battery fully will also take much longer.

Enable the fast-charge or fast wireless charge feature for Galaxy mobile devices.

Step 1. Go to Settings > Device Care.

Step 2. Tap on the Battery icon.

Step 3. Tap the Charging menu.

Select one of the charging modes below, based on the type of authorized fast charger you have.

To enable any one of the charging modes, simply tap the switch to the right-side.

  • Fast charging : Enable this mode if you are using the Adaptive fast wired charger.
  • Super fast charging : Enable this mode if you are using a wired Super fast charger.
  • Fast wireless charging : Enable this mode if you are using a fast wireless charging pad.

If the problem persists, immediately bring your device to the nearest Samsung Authorized Service Center. Rest assured that our Samsung Engineers/Technicians are competent to assess your device with suggestions, and offer to provide prompt solutions to restore it up to optimum performance.
