Hello JiN139,

Thanks for letting us now your difficulty using the messenger app installed on your beloved Samsung Galaxy phone having issues using the video call mode while the earphone doesn't work but using audio, it's working. I feel and understand why you are worried for a device that you've take care so much. If my device is facing similar experience, I will be bothered too.

Before you try out the below recommendations as to your solution, be sure to check if your device's software are updated with the latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device's software in the following order.

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

While using your Galaxy device, you may encounter some sound issues like only hearing sound from one speaker or having alarms, media volume or ringtones muted. You can fix all these sound problems by following the steps below.

When playing a music or video, the sound comes from only one speaker

You can partially hear a sound except for calls when the left/right sound balance on “Hearing enhancements” features is enabled. If the control bar for adjusting the left/right sound balance is set by moving it to the left or right, then media sound will come out of only one speaker.

Please adjust the control bar for proper sound with the following steps:

Step 1. Enter device settings and click “Accessibility”.

Step 2. Select “Hearing enhancements”.

Step 3. Adjust “Left/right sound balance”.

All sounds including alarm and media volume and ringtone from speakers are muted.

In smartphones, watches, and Galaxy wearable app on mobile devices check that the “Mute all sounds” toggle button is off:

Step 1. Enter device settings and click “Accessibility”.

Step 2. Select “Hearing enhancements”.

Step 3. Adjust “Left/right sound balance”.

Step 1. Long press Samsung Members icon on Apps screen and tap Error reports.

Step 2. Tap OK on agreement popup to send system log data.

Step 3. Select Symptom category "Sounds/Vibrations".

Step 4. Describe the problem in details and SEND.
