[Q] Kernel Update

With the upcoming OneUI 4.0/4.1 update. I'm curious to see if the kernel version will also be update to the upstreamed 5.10 kernel. Currently, this A72 that I'm using is shipping the 4.14.190 kernel version. For those who have received the update, can you tell if the kernel version was updated as well?

Have a different phone from yours but the update to OneUI 4.0 from OneUI 3.0 updated the kernel too. Makes sense since it's an Android version update. Sometimes it gets updated on incremental updates as well

Do you have an S or a Note series phone? That's what I'm guessing, maybe once Android 12.1 rolls out, a kernel update may be included but who knows

Have a S21U. Methink it's safe to say that we can expect kernel updates whenever there's a newer Android version. Sammy just likes to surprise us on incremental ones though 😉
