My phone was charging perfectly fine, after i updated my software my charging cable is not working it only shows "the connected usb device isn't supported, it's been like this for months the only i got it to charge was to power it off and the energy icon shows repeatedly while the battery percentage was not showing it charges very slowly, my charging cable works perfectly fine with other devices except mine. What to do please help.

The error message actually says the answer to your inquiry, " The Connected USB Device isn't supported ".

This basically means you're using a 3rd party charger which Samsung no longer supports/allows as a safety precausion.

Most smartphones usually come with a charging cable and an adaptor which is designed to be used specifically for the device.

Although Type C is the uneversal port, it is possible that the charging cable used isn't supported by Samsung.

Hey AldrichWayne,

I'm not certain as we don't have access to your device - but this may be an issue with your charging port. Please bring your device to a Samsung Service Center near you to see if there's any repairs that need to be done.
