Hello ! Is it HSPA means 3G and LTE means 4G !? Is it Samsung Galaxy A02 support 5G network or just 4G . That means I need to buy new phone if I want to use 5G network data. If Galaxy A02 spec already setup with 5G from factory then what is the name display on screen? 5G ..? What we know HSPA means 3G , LTE means 4G .. what for 5G? NR ? .. if NR .. i need to buy new smartphone whatever model and brands except samsung.. Too good to be true!

LTE receptions normally is indicated by 4G+ symbol and for 5G, if the phone is 5G capable, the signal symbol should be ' 5G' . I believe A02 model is not a 5G model.
Hope my explanation helps.

HSPA stands for High Speed Packet Access, which is a technology that improves the performance of existing 3G mobile networks using the WCDMA protocols. It's also known as 3.5G or 3G+. It was later enhanced as HSPA+ which basically offers higher bandwidth but it's not 4G.

Now 4G is the fourth generation of broadband cellular network technology, succeeding 3G. The thing about 4G is that not all 4G networks are the same, and the same can be said of 5G too. To be frank, LTE, LTE-A/LTE+, HSDPA are not 4G actually & they should be known as 3.5G or 3G+.

5G NR is a new radio access technology (RAT) developed by 3GPP for the 5G (fifth generation) mobile network. It was designed to be the global standard for the air interface of 5G networks. 5G NR uses a range of radio frequencies, from low-band to high-band, to transmit data over the air. 5G is not a faster version of 4G.

It gets confusing when telco carriers used the tech incorrectly to describe the networks.
To use 5G, u will have to buy a phone that supports 5G. Most phone brands when they launch a 5G phones in Malaysia will ensure their 5G phones will be able to support the type of 5G networks used in our country.

Hope that helps ✌️

If you want a 5G service, you need to get a phone that supports 5G, such as A14 5G, not the one that labels only A14 because it's only 4G. It's technology difference, not just faster.
