Samsung Galaxy A05 Freezing Randomly

Hi everyone. I bought my Samsung A05 in March and have been really careful with it. I've never dropped it or subjected it to any physical damage. Everything was running smoothly until a few days ago when my phone started freezing randomly. It becomes unresponsive to touch inputs, and the only way to get it working again is to turn the phone off and turn it back on. 

My last software update was on July 25, so I'm wondering if this problem might be linked to that update.

Has anyone else with an A05 experienced similar issues? Any suggestions or solutions to fix this would be greatly appreciated! TYIA

Hi, has the issue been resolved, I bought mine since March this year and it's been a horrible freezing experience. I literally used all my savings for this. Having a very strong dislike for samsung  everyday.

The freezing is now much more common even after restoring factory settings several times.

I have to click on my power button on and off everytime for it to work  almost everytime.

I'm guessing because it's a budget phone samsung doest care too much about it.

Very bad product that needs to be recalled.

I literally advised anyone trying to buy the Samsung A05 not to.

Same issue for me. Since April-May 2024  the phone started to be unresponsive, many times every day. I have to use the power button to turn off the screen and turn it on again. No matter how many factory resets I did, or restart the phone 10 times a day, the issue is still coming back. Not a good product.

Mine does it too. I´ve had a02, a03, a04 without any problems. But the 05 is a disaster.

Anyone know if this occurs with the a06 as well, or should I look for another brand?

I have the same problem. Figured it is a memory management and resource issue.

Went into Settings, Vision Enhancements, Reduced Animations (under Looking for something else). Turned on "Reduce animations" and 'Reduce transparency and blur'.

Not the best solution, but does improve the phone's response speed and, so far, no more screen freezes.

I am a very disappointed customer. I have the same issue. I bought mine around Feb-Mar 2024, and around May, June the phone started to be unresponsive many times per day. I would not recommend this phone

Hi. I have an A04 and an A05 (3 and 4GB memory respectively) that were fine to start with, but now are freezing randomly. They have both had upgrades to Android 14. Seems there is a major problem running the upgraded op system! Looks like there may be issue with interrupt priorities and memory management, which combine to make life  miserable for the user. Closing background apps and reducing processor workload by turning off screen effects can help a little, but the issue still lurks in the wings. Maybe the next upgrade will fix this????
