I made the mistake of buying a Samsung J5 Prime phone from India while travelling. I followed all the instructions to remove the region lock (while in India) and was able to use the phone with any SIM in India and Canada.
During one of the subsequent travels in some other country, I must have entered the sim lock password too many times and as result my phone asks for the MCK code. It is not the sim lock, the device itself is locked to all the sims of any country except Canada and India.
It has been four years trying to get a **bleep** MCK code from Samsung India but they are unable to comprehend such a simple problem.
I am giving up on Samsung.
Is it possible to have the bloody phone unlocked from a 3rd party?
