Video file not supported and problem of the codec

hi to everyone who saw this, i need help on fixing my gallery, whenever I play a video it says video file not supported or about the codec, it was fine an hour ago when im in school but now that i got home I wanna play a video but then that error shows and I'm so stressed trying to figure it out.

What's the file type? Would you know the container? Also, you might only have access to it while at school connected to their wifi.

Hello there!

The stock gallery app doesn't support all video codecs - it's a bit limiting in that regard. I would recommend getting a 3rd-party media player that supports more formats, such as VLC for Android!
