Did you know that you can extract texts from any images or photos using the "T" function of the Gallery? Try it... it really works! 👍

Hello JojoL,

Thank for sharing and featuring the Extract Text feature here.

With One UI 5.0 Extract Text feature, Samsung provides an intelligent input experience.

There are two ways of using this feature:

1) Long press on any input-field and tap the "Extract text" option

2) Open the keyboard on any input-field and select the "Extract text" toolbar option.

Extract Text has the context-aware ability, developed using artificial intelligence, to derive relevant information basis the application/text box in use. In easier words, it knows when to scan phone numbers and when to get email addresses.

Extract text from any image or screen.

With this feature you can Extract text using Samsung Keyboard, Internet, Gallery, or whenever you take a screenshot. Modify and paste the result into a message, email, or document instead of typing.

Contextual suggestion.

When text appears in an image in Gallery, Camera or other apps, certain actions will be recommended based on the text. For example, if you take a picture of a sign with a phone number or web address on it, you can tap to call the number or visit the website.
