Samsung Galaxy J2 Core Model Number: SM-J260MU Android Version: 8.1.0

I recently acquired the Samsung J2 Core listed above.  I find it is a good phone with satisfying features which I am enjoying.

However, there is one issue that I am trying to solve i.e. permanently removing the New Voicemails icon that occupies the top left corner of the screen.

Will someone help me to remove it, please?
