Check sim card tray

Anyone have issues with the use of e sim or physical sim card where phone keeps prompting 'check sim card tray'? After restarting phone, it will be stable. After a while, the 'check sim card tray' will keep popping up. The sim card cannot be read.

I went down and was suggested that it could be a motherboard issue. So sad that the lifespan of phone is so less than 2 years.
