I recently noticed a weird stutter on my phone at regular intervals. I first noticed this when playing games. Every so often the game would stutter for a bit and then resume. It gets so frustrating because it feels like an in-game lag or a network issue, but I've come to realize that this stutter appears regardless of what app I'm using.
On Twitter, I also noticed that the screen appears to "refresh" regularly even if my fingers aren't touching the screen.
A similar thing happened while I was typing this up. The screen "refreshes", as if I hit the back button and tapped the screen to type again.
I also notice when using the YouTube app. While watching the video full screen, it would suddenly go to picture-in-picture mode and go back to my home screen even if I just leave my phone sitting on the table untouched. (See video capture posted below)
I already tried restarting my phone, using my phone in safe mode, and wiping the cache partition after the recent update, but this weird behavior still happens every 6 minutes and a few seconds of using my phone.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I first noticed this after I updated the software to the latest version, but I'm not sure if it's related. The Software Update Information screen in the Settings Menu shows the following information:

SECURITY PATCH LEVEL: Sept 1. 2021
I really don't want to do a factory reset because of the hassle of setting up my phone again. But if nothing helps, I guess I'll do it.
