sound quality

For the last couple of days, my note 9's sound quality has suddenly gone poor, unclear! I've tried to reduce the volume, to no avail.

What could be the problem? Is my phone infected with a malware? I'm worried.

Any ideas?

sounds like breaking? if yes may be there is some water inside your speaker area... it will take some time to clear...

Yes it sounds like it's breaking. Where could the water be from? It's not fallen into water ever.. Im just worried, coz even the quality of videos I play on YouTube have greatly reduced.

most of the time, we put our phone in the pocket with USB charging port and speaker facing up... when u wash your hair... sometimes u accidentally drip waters to that area...

but quality of video also drop... then it might be a real problem for your phone or...

you adjust the video quality to low resolution by accidentally....

if you try using earphone, is it the same quality as you using speaker? if using earphone is okay, might be your speaker is broken somewhere.
