Can anyone explain to me how the Wi-Fi calling system works 😅 I know it uses WiFi to call or recieve call from a person but need to know this in detail.

The call uses fully internet connection instead of network connection. So if your network connection is bad or no line at all, you could still make or receive a call without drop in quality if wifi calling is enabled.
In short, it's similar concept if you call via whatsapp.

Agreed, it is using an internet connection to make or receive a phone call (voice over internet protocol/VoIP).

In addition to that, to determine whether your call is using wifi for a call (voice over wifi/VoWIFI), there will be a wifi symbol next to call icon in your call log, or on your call screen (as attached)

The same goes to a call using internet data (voice over LTE/VoLTE), at the same spot, in your call screen, there will be a HD icon visible there.

Previously, conventional phone calls are totally dependent on your network connectivity, if you turn on your internet data connection while receiving a call, you can not surf the internet at the same time, but with VoLTE and VoWIFI, you can seamlessly receive a call while still retaining internet connectivity, quiet useful while playing online gaming or streaming media.

By default, if your device has this feature, it all goes back to the network carrier to open up their system to support your device, you can check their respective websites for each devices eligibility. 20221018_093202_1000005981_1666056722.jpg
