Good day, sorry for the noob question.

I have a Galaxy S21 whose touch of the screen is broken due to being dipped in toilet December last year. The screen is working—only the touch is not.

Since then, I had been using the phone with an OTG mouse to navigate the phone. However, I updated its software the other day. Upon restarting the phone after the update, I can't use the phone anymore because it is asking for me to unlock with PIN before the USB mouse is allowed to be used. Now, I cannot enter my PIN because the touch is not working. I also cannot use the OTG mouse because the phone requires that I enter the PIN. Thus, I cannot also enter the phone into Maintenance Mode for repair at the Samsung Service Center. My phone is now unusable.

These are my questions:

1) I really need to recover the precious, memorable pictures and videos there. So I intend to have it repaired. The Standard Operating Procedure at Samsung Service Centers in my country, the Philippines, is to Factory Reset the phones they repair. However, some people tell me that I can ask the people there NOT TO FACTORY RESET my phone. I have put my phone into Lost Mode so that the repair persons would not be able to Factory Reset it. My question: Am I correct in my guess that they would not be able to Factory Reset a Samsung Galaxy smartphone under Lost Mode?

2) My second question: Now that my phone is under Lost Mode, will the repair persons, have the possibility of having access to my data?

Thank you for reading my post. I would appreciate honest answers.

Use OTG memory card or flash drive to transfer your photos.

My phone is asking me to enter my PIN before I am allowed to use any OTG. The thing is, I cannot enter my PIN because the touch of the screen is not working.

That will not work as well because my phone asks for a PIN before any OTG device can be used. I also cannot transfer my files because the touch of the screen is not working.

Check if you turned on Auto Blocker. Disable and then re-check.
