Anyone here having issue with their Zfold4? Woke up with a broken phone, it doesn't charge when folded. Doesn't turn on as well. I can use it in tablet mode and the moment I fold it down it dies. Like swtitching off a light bulb. I have only used it for 15 mos. How could a premium phone with a premium price stopped working all of a sudden. I feel that the phone has hardware issues that Samsung should acknowledge and fix for free.

It is with the service center and i was quoted a whopping 42k php for parts and repair. However, if i will have this fixed I don't have the confidence that the issue won't recur.

This experience is traumatizing for me to say the least.

Apparently you got a unit with that issue. Search the web it's prevalent on some units.

Yeah, I read from several online posts and forums about screen issues before this happened to me. I thought at first I was lucky for not having this issue, but lo and behold, I spoke too soon.

Ask for a free repair. Someone experience it before on s series and it got repaired for free.

Mine is also like that on z flip4 but works fine if not moving or folding. I asked for a free repair thro samsung ceo support. My request will be granted if it pass the analysis of service center as a manufacturing defect. But i haven't yet gone to service center

Right!!! I was supposed to send an email to the CEO last week but have forgotten about it. I have communicated with their VOC and was offered a 13K++ discount. I am grateful for the offer, but I feel that they can do more.

Me too. I read about it and felt lucky or hoped it would not happen to me. But it did yesterday. After a frustrating 4-5 hours with Samsung Support Chat, my Fold4 has been authorized for door-to-door service (sending the unit by courier) to a service centre for repair. My device is 21 months old and therefore out of warranty. I feel that it's a hardware (manufacturing or design defect and that I should not have to pay for repair. The service techs will determine what the actual issue is. I am hopeful that it will be on Samsung. If enough users have the same problem, perhaps Samsung will make the choice to cover some or all of the price of repair. It's difficult to know. At this time there is no visual physical damage to my phone, although I admit it has fallen several feet to the floor in the past (I have Samsung cover installed). Perhaps they will decide that "something" was jarred loose, thereby causing this problem. Wait and see. It's reassuring to know that others have been through this issue as well. I will provide an update after my phone has been diagnosed by "hands-on" repair techs.

You are not alone. Hayst! Its samsung using a cheap hardware so whenever they do a software update, it can really have an impact on the hardware. I have a flip 4, 1 yr and 4 mos old. Flickering main screen, delay on powering up both main and cover screen. Greens are also appearing every now and then.

Can be really frustrating. Perhaps the #ceo #minsuchu #sepco gets this.
