I am so mad right now, I had a S20 Ultra that worked just fine  (except by a camera that could not close focus ever), upgraded to this S22 Ultra and I mark this as one of my huge mistakes in life. One bad experience after another.

First week was replacing SIM cards and no solution for bad reception or  NO SERVICE.  I have a back up S8+ with Straight Talk with 4 bars and no service on the S22 Ultra, both cells in  he same room.

One of problems, is that Verizon dropped 3G so before when 4G was bad it would go to 3G, now without 3G it goes to no service, but besides that when I do have service on the 22 Ultra, I have less bars and more service interruptions, poor calls. Weird things happen, I am calling local number and ask me if I want to place this international call, then while ringing appears the local number I dialed and a name of a country, like Greece, Norway etc...just crazy!

Aside of the problems in U.S. I have now to deal with ZERO SERVICE in Brazil, Brazilian Networks uses GSM and my SIM card is blind to then, cannot find any Network in Sao Paulo Brazil,  I have put 6 hours on phone with Verizon Reps, all configurations are correct and we did everything in the book to try to correct it to no solution. ...it is the Model PROBLEM. A simple google will tell you how many people are having the same problem all over, threads of 50 pages of posts about the same problem...cannot connect on GSM

Just imagine you are getting out of a plane with no service, rent a car and have no GPS capability on your cell to guide you in the streets, nobody even sell maps anymore, you are done! I will have to buy a cheap cell and service here in order to survive, shame on Samsung putting out one of the most expensive cellular phones without testing it.

If you go to Settings, Mobile Operators and then Network operators, you cannot turn off the Auto select (BUG) to manually input a network provider, that's because instead to just turn off and the available network list shows, it runs the list briefly and if no network is found the toggle still on.

They basically fixed the camera problem (love he camera), I love the CPU Snapdragoon 8 Ver 1, but at end..... if you cannot place a phone call, it is  pointless to have it

I have now an expensive paper weight, this is not a matter of software update, it is a hardware problem. My only hope is that when I come back to U.S. Verizon will let me change the phone model, long time Samsung owner but maybe will try Apple now

Hello Avinash,

Thanks for your reply

I contacted Samsung U.S. and tech just brush off and told me to contact Samsung in Brazil, which I did and they said to contact Samsung U.S.....they all are just passing the hot water and no one wants takes responsibility for the Samsung S22 Ultra fiasco.

I have cellular phones all my life, 30 years to be exact, since they were the size of brick, and I never ever had a phone without service or poor service like this S22 ULTRAGE, Samsung deserves a class action law suit, and it will happen. They will do nothing for hardware problems like with the S8+ red screens, they did nothing about it and was poor quality screen used on manufacturing.

If I wanted a expensive camera I would had purchase a Cannon etc....

So I just found out that the owners of S22 Ultra models  SM-S908U  (USA Model)  have a non global cellular and will not work in most countries.

Travelers should get a SM-S908b/DS (International) model

How   l a m e   is that rom Samsung?

Returning this under 14 day change of mind - shocking reception - up and down all the time. Actually, for me, everytime the data dropped to h+ the cell signal improved, and then when back to 4g or 5g it dropped like a stone.  Awful stuff from Samsung.  Previous pixel was perfect reception where i live.

Got my money back, in fairness to Samsung no quibbles on the return.
