Green line and Green bar on my S22 Ultra

1st update when the new AI launch the green bar appear on top left. Then last month i decided another update hopefully will fix the previous update but worse. A green vertical line appear. Brought to samsung center and they inspect no drop history. Phone in tiptop condition but they say need to pay rm776 to change the lcd as Samsung Malaysia didnt offer the screen replacement like in India. Thats terrible. Why am i want to pay for something that is not my mistake. Never buy a samsung phone again and currently im viral this case and raise an awareness so nobody going to buy samsung again.

it's because of heat, not dropping the phone, not because of water drop or anything just heat.

so yea feel free to switch brand, i am sticking with samsung because i am an A series user, green line issue seldom happen in A series except A73 or A71, and these aren't my phone, so i feel safe, however i will switch brand if i am in your condition

How is that heat ? I left my phone on the table while updating then when the phone restarting and the green line appear. Yea im switching to other brand already and im currently raise public awareness of this matter and encouraging others to stop buying samsung as i working in service line.

I experienced the same thing on my 2 years old S22 Ultra. I was looking at pictures in the phone gallery when suddenly a green line appeared in the middle. The phone has never been dropped. It wasn’t even hot while using it because I was only looking at the phone gallery. So sad. This is my second Samsung phone to get a green line. The first one was a Samsung S21 Ultra. So, I upgraded and bought the S22 Ultra because I wanted to use the S-Pen. My Note 10+ screen is still fine even after 5 years of use. Now I am thinking to switch to another brand after few decades using Samsung since Galaxy S4.

I understand your feeling and all S22 ultra user who encounter the same problem. It wasnt our fault but they still charge us for screen replacement. Meanwhile India acknowledge this problem and giving replacement for free. Thats why im totally give up on samsung now. With the same price i rather get an iphone now. Very much regret now when i have the choice between S22 ultra and iphone 14pro max. I choose wrong.

Exactly, S22+ and iPhone are same price. We trust their brand and products but no promises.

My s22 ultra also got the green line after update. And the service centre in kota kinabalu quoted rm1200 to replace the screen. Compared in West malaysia knly rm700. I got second phone fold 6. Planning to switch brand. I been supporting Samsung  brand. What kind of services we are getting? Really disappointing.
