I didn't drop my mobile, actually I was watching videos and then suddenly a green line appeared on my Samsung s20+.. when I Google about it, I found I'm not the only customer to experience this green line issue. 

I approached Samsung customercare service and they mentioned I need to change the display which costs S$366 and it comes with free battery replacement + S$ 150 Samsung voucher. 

I was shocked to hear this. Are they joking?? 

It's a flagship model, how Samsung can produce such a low quality products for their flagship customers. It shows tat they never care about their customers. I completely lost the faith in Samsung products and their customer relationship. 

Now I left with no choice to voice out abt this and continue to use the same s20+ with green line. Let's see whether this post will solve my issues.. It's my hard earned money and Samsung abused my struggles in making that money with such a low quality product. I regret choosing Samsung!! 

Importantly I rejected their voucher and free battery offers..how can I go back to Samsung again when they continue to practice such a lousy quality principle with very bad customer relationship policy. 


It's been 1.75 years since the date of purchase of my Samsung s20+.

I read from other countries community, some got their repair for free. But seems like they had to write to the ceo, wonder if we'd get the same result if we tried emailing the ceo of Samsung Singapore. Probably get ignored?

I chose Samsung because I believed they're considered the best in terms of android phones but now this happen, so sad and disappointing. Paid 1000+ only for this to happen..

My dad and I experienced the same issue. It started with my S20+ about a month ago. A green line appeared out of nowhere while i was watching youtube. Then another line appeared a week later. I took care of my S20+ well enough. I dont remember dropping it at all. Then the green line appeared on my dad's S20+ last night. Hope it doesnt happen to my wife's S20+ as she is hoping to trade in hers. 2 out of 3 units of S20+ with the same issue. Definitely a low quality lcd in a flagship model that costed more than 1k each.

I just encountered this issue on my S20+ today a few hours ago. Started with one green line, then now 2 lines, what's next😭. Is this a conspiracy to force us to change to the new S22? With so many people around the world encountering the same issue on this model (after the software update?), it is obviously something wrong with this update or the hardware. They should fix it for free even if warranty is over

I got multiple green lines now. And all of a sudden, the display had totally blacked out(plain white screen) for a day.Today morning again the display has come back to normal(with multiple green lines).God Knows what's gonna happen next🙁 Feeling totally hopeless and disappointed with Samsung.

I have the same, started with a single green line last month. I'm having several green lines and pink lines on my screen.

In another thread the moderator even assured that this series of phone are of high quality when there are so many people around the world facing this particular issue. 😤

I updated my phone after the green line appeared because I've the habit of waiting out. Sadly, that means it's a hardware problem not an OS problem. A LCD replacement is required no update can solve it.
