I've been using my S21+ for only 1 year 3 months and NEVER have I drop my phone. The day before it, was working well. But the next morning when I woke up to my surprise this green line appeared on my screen. I looked up for solutions on Google and YouTube to see if I can rectify this issue but to no avail. Surprisingly there are other users experiencing the same issue since Galaxy S7 and most of them suggested to send in to Samsung for a repair. I called the Samsung service centre and explained the issues I'm facing. I understand that my warranty has ended and most phones have a warranty of up to 1 year. But it's unfair for those other Samsung users who took care of thier phone well and this happened. I checked with the service centre about the repair work and it would cost me $300 to $400. I'm really disappointed in Samsung, I thought that the more latest or up to date phone would be better but this issue has been the same for years. I can't believe that my old Iphone 10 can last for more than 3 years without me having to put up any protective cover and it did dropped a few times before also.

My warranty is over 3 mths already. If I were to send in it'll cost around $300 -$400

Omg, i am sorry to hear that. But on another note hardware is something hit and miss. In this forum there are people still using S8 without issues and there are people having issues with their Fold 3...

Funny my sister is using her S9 way before I use my S21+ plus now. I saw her dropped couple of times but it still works fine. Whereas I never drop my s21+ before.

Yup. Hit and miss. There are things that cannot be explained.

Typically is just to change the lcd inside. The cause of it is like some TV lines of led type. Due to flexible cable stripes. If not the curve type the lcd should be cheaper outside. Why Iphone is better? Do you know they also used samsung lcd? Just that the screen is flat. Hence is cheaper to replace. You will find the replacement parts like lcd to be more expensive for curve lcd like S8+ so many years already still 300-400.

Anyway an advise if you buy another Samsung phone. Get Samsung Care+. 2 years warranty by paying abit more for peace of mind. But of course if Samsung can provide default 2 years warranty will be even better... 😛
