As of now, the Interpreter application does not support Tagalog. Additionally, this feature was recently introduced in One UI 6.1. It is possible that you have mistakenly identified it as Google Translate, which supports Filipino.

Why? This feature wasn't even available in One UI 6.0 as I've mentioned as it's a part of Galaxy AI.

If it's the Translate feature on the keyboard, language packs have been skimmed down to fewer languages as offline device translation supports less language.

  • I was wondering that also. Filipino was in the language packs as a option for the keyboard, now it's not. I wish that I didn't update as I use this for work related emails and more. I just don't understand why they would remove languages like that. I'm wondering if iPhone has native filipino translator in their keyboard?

Only One UI 6-based have the Filipino translator but 6.1 no more

It's annoying why there is no Tagalog language pack in the Samsung S23 interpreter.
