Messenger Unread Messages not showing in Bold Font

After the recent update, unread messages in Messenger no longer appear in bold letters, until you change your font in default only. Sooo I can't use all the fonts just bought from your store because of this. Please fix!

yes and no one at Samsung seems to have noticed. I guess it is because no one really changes fonts too much on phones

😓 sad to hear but I believe this to be an issue with all Samsung users. Sorry Samsung doesn't have an answer not sure if Samsung has even noticed the issue

Hello, if messenger is in light mode, it won't show new messages in bold (if you're using a font) but if it's in dark mode, it shows the new messages properly.

The downside of using fonts, is you have to stay in dark mode so that you can identify the new messages from the read ones. I'll let you guys know if a solution other than staying in dark mode exists

Samsung hasn't provided a fix. But Lunelliea provided a work around, if you still want to use different fonts. You have to stay in dark node. However, if you are fine with not using different fonts, then just use the default font, and with these work arounds, you'll see the read and unread messages in FB Messenger. I know someone at Samsung broke something and they couldn't fix it back.

This has already been fixed on the September 2023 software update!

Glad that I can now use the fonts I bought last year! I bought 10 fonts, so you could imagine how frustrating this was for me.

They fixed it recently. Try to update your phone and let me know if it worked!
