I recently experience thisnproblem. I've been scrolling in instagram when it happened. No touch response, the only thing that functions are the navigation gestures and the notifications sliding down but you can't swipe left or right nor press any icons. I have the latest patch and software update (April 1, 2025) and I'm using s23 Ultra.
The only solution I found is to force restart (since I can't press the icon for power I use the side buttons, power + vol down buttons) and thankfully it restarts and the touchscreen was funtioning well again. I don't know what happened but I think Samsung should do somthing about it.
I also got this problem yesterday. same circumstance, I can access side buttons, swipe down panels, one hand operation side handles BUT no touch response to the entire screen. My device is S24 base.
