I really like the Background Portrait Blur edit function directly from Samsung Gallery, especially if I forget to take a portrait shot from the beginning. However, I noticed that the Background Blur edit directly from Samsung Gallery is missing. I have updated to One UI 6.1. If you have found it, can you please share how to enable it? I would love to hear from you.

Before the background blur was under the Remaster Feature, now it's gone 😵🥲

Are you perhaps pertaining to the Portrait Mode Blur intensity? If yes, the option has been moved in a new way!

To access it in Samsung Gallery, go to the photo that has been captured in Portrait Mode, swipe up from the photo, and you'll see options that varies depending on what the AI can also do. One of these is the Background effect, which will let you edit the blur intensity of each Portrait Mode photos you took, or if you applied one to a portrait shot.

Take note that adding a background blur for a photo not taken with portrait mode needs a face in the shot.SmartSelect_20240601_110017_Gallery_1000003189_1717210817.png

Well, this might be the reason. If it wasnt taken as portrait shot then I can't use portrait blur :(

The way it works didn't change, though. Adding a background blur to photos without faces isn't possible earlier already. Nothing changed aside from how the feature was tucked in a different menu.

Yeah, I'm suuuuuper upset about this right now. Just realized I can't edit the blur and can't figure out how to. So stupid.

This is NOT the same, nor does it give me any option to deal with the blur.

Bring back the 'blur background' theme in the basic gallery like it was before. I dont wany to be limited to "portrait" mode and decide before I take pics. This upgrade is a negative result and worse for users. Please bring it back!
