Overview about Samsung Security Support

Samsung phones will still works even without a security support. only rich kid upgrade their phones when there is no software support. and for us. middle or poor class. will upgrade a phone if it seems unusable. Ive been using my galaxy J7 pro for 7 years before upgrading to s21 whether it has a security support or not. it still working. i dont see the rush of upgrading a phone when there is no security support or its a marketing strategy by samsung by all means many people will buy the latest phones.

agree, what matters is android version not security patch version, if you still have android 8 you are mostly fine because still many apps in playstore support android 8, much better if you have android 10 or 11 because google still giving a new update thru google play service for at least android 10 or 11, for instance theft detection if for android 10 or higher

so as long as your battery still can accommodate you per day, no need to upgrade, because it's hard to find good quality battery replacement for 5 or more years old device, so the only best option is buy a new phone
