S22 Green Line repair chargeable from October.

Hi Samsung,

I'm one of your victim where my S22 develop a green line out of the blue. 

Went down to your service centre located at Plaza Singapura, I was been informed that Samsung no longer replace the faulty screen with labour cost at $54 and I was charged with the full amount of $290 on top of it.

I understand from the staff that this was only chargeable from this month, October 2024 onwards and find this unacceptable. 

The green line appears out of nowhere, my phone was kept at home with care all along so how would I know or predict that the green line issue would appear before October 2024?

This sounds really unreasonable and with the ongoing and continuous Samsung phone developing this issue, are there any reason to buy another Samsung phone is future?

I have the same issue green line for my s22 and was told repair cost is 190 at causeway point branch

This sounds terrible.

I had just provided my contact details to Samsung support moderator.

I was been informed that a customer support personnel will contact me directly.

I'll update the thread on the next course of action.

Same here... I launched a feedback last week and yesterday... Samsung still insisted that I have to pay full repair cost

This is terrible.

Did they gave you any reason why? I.e. the green line is caused by user related issue?

An update.

As user @Viviizzz and @kellynsh had pre-empted me. A customer service personnel did called me but his job is to try and aplease me that they had escalated this case to the management but they will not be providing any complimentary replacement of the screen with green line anymore.

I expecting similar answer but am still disappointed.


So it is established that Samsung flagship phone cannot last more than 2 years even with careful use.

i got banned and all my comments removed.. i recorded everything down. but honestly i feel not worth to chase these people. too much effort. they can do what they want honestly.

I'm corresponding to the service centre at PS though I do not have any hope they could do anything also.

If they do, I'll provide an update here.
