I've been using magnetic cables for years to charge Android, apple and generic devices. My last Samsung phone was an S7 and it worked great with magnetic charging cables. Then I became an owner of an Asus phone and the Razer Phone 2 which I used both with magnetic charging cables. Magnetic charging cables have so many benefits compared to traditional  charging cables.

1. They allow for easy connecting while driving or on the go. You don't have to fiddle with trying to match up the cable and port together. Especially useful when driving or when it's dark.

2. It keeps the charging port of the phone from dust and dirt.

3. It allows the cable to break free in case you yank the phone hard or you trip over the cable.

4. One charging cable can be used with multiple types of devices. For example, magnetic cables come with usually  3 adapters. Usb-c, lightning bolt and nano or micro. So it makes one cable available  to charge multiple devices without having to have a clutter of different cables.

Then I get the S22. I plug my magnetic usb-c adapter into the s22 charging port where it stays permanently and a couple hours later I get a moisture/foreign object notification and Samsung forcefully disables my charging port. As soon as I take out the usb adapter I can charge my phone again until but if i insert the adapter again, a couple hours later the problem happens again.

Really? I've never seen such a nonsense safety feature. This completely breaks magnetic cables from being used with the s22. I understand there are certain ways to temporarily circumvent this problem but ultimately the problem will always be a problem.

That being said, is there any way to block this? Or is there an official magnetic charger that'll  work with the s22 without triggering the moisture/foreign object sensor?

It is samsung hardware charging sensor technology,  nothing SAMSUNG CAN DO ABOUT IT!.    My last NOTE 10+ charging port is dead right after a major firmware update and warrantee just exprired.  I was unable to charge with USB cable.  Wireless charging has been my only option.   All the tips and solution online would never fix this.  I stuck with this until I upgrade to S22 Ultra and so happy with new device.  Buy magnetic charging cable , keep male adaptor plug in and hope to prolong my usb port from wear and tear.   Woke up this morining I see System notification "Moisture Detected" error!  I remove male magnetic charging adaptor, reboot the phone/  Error message is gone and able to charge normally with usb C cable.  I GUESS BY LEAVE THAT ADAPTOR PLUG IN IT IS SOMEHOW DRAW A MOISTURE AND DEVICE CHARGING SENSOR SENSE IT.   SAMSUNG HAS THIS STUPID SENSOR BUILD IN THAT WILL NOT GET ALONG WITH MAGNETIC CHARGING

So, I had exactly the same thing happen when I used my magnetic cable the first time with the S22 Ultra. Got the error, pulled out the connector, all was good again but I was annoyed. Charged it wirelessly for some days before I needed a faster charge one day and used the magnetic cable again - and just left the connector in because I was lazy.

That was 5 days ago and the error has not come back so far. It works totally fine with the magnetic connector constantly plugged in now.

I have no idea what changed and why I don't get the error anymore, but it seems to be possible to get it to work just fine.

I understand that's not helpful at all, but just know not all is lost, maybe...

Can you tell us what brand of magnetic charging cable you are using?  I'm using the TOPK brand from Amazon and this causes the "Moisture in charging port" error on my S22 Ultra.

Perhaps your magnetic adapter is different or better.  I have a theory that Samsung may be sensing skin touches on the exposed contacts of the magnetic charging adapter.  This might fool the phone into thinking there is water causing a slight conductivity inside the charging port.

Whatever the reason, I've used these adapters on various phones including my prior Note 10+ with no issues.  As usual, some engineer had a good idea, and it has caused unintended consequences.
