Galaxy S1. Clear the charging port for your phone, and remove any debris or dust using an unused toothbrush or tiny piece of cloth. Take extra care and don't do it roughly.
2. Have you tried using other types of charging cable?
- From type C to type C cable
- From USB to type C cable
Or try charging using a wireless charger?
3. Turn ON airplane mode, then restart your phone. After that please try again.
4. Clearing the system cache can help fix charging problems related to software glitches. To wipe the cache partition, you’ll need to boot your Galaxy S23 into recovery mode:
Turn off your phone. Press and hold the Volume Up and Side buttons simultaneously. Release both buttons when you see the Samsung logo. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the recovery menu and select “Wipe cache partition.”Confirm your selection using the Side button. After the process is complete, select “Reboot system now.”

Galaxy Sa) If nothing shows up, please try to use the original cable and the adapter. Or try wireless charging (eg: wireless charger power bank or Samsung phone that has a wireless power sharing function.
b) If the step above is done and nothing happens, please use another brand's original type C phone cable charger (not Samsung) (eg: Huawei/Xiaomi/OnePlus/Vivo/Oppo).
If there is no charging indicator (when the charging cable plugged in during your phone is OFF) it might be:
- your charging port is problematic and needs to be replaced/repaired
If there is an indicator but your phone can't be turned ON, it might be due to your power button malfunction. (My previous Samsung phone had both of these issues: can't charge and can't turn ON. I can't get into recovery mode because the power button is faulty)

Galaxy SI just got this issue today out of nowhere. My wife and I both have the same phone and models since we bought them together. Her phone is experiencing the same issue. When we both tried to now connect to my PC device we both got an error stating "Power Surge on the USB device." We have tried multiple chargers and charger boxes but cannot charge them. We managed to get her to charge out of our USB port or Bluetooth speaker, but even then it was inconsistent charging.
