I just want to revisit this topic about the Wi-Fi 6E on Samsung flagship phones for PH variants. Maybe most of us doesn't care about this particular specification, and we just care about the camera, the build, etc. of our pricey flagship smartphones.

My question is - for all the S23 Ultra users out there, have you tried to connect your phone to a Wi-Fi 6E router or access point, and test if it can connect to the 6GHz frequency?

I personally tested this before using an S21U and S22U phones (PH variants only) and unfortunately it didn't support the 6GHz band of a Wi-Fi 6E router. I'm just curious if this is still the same scenario for the new S23U.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, my s23 ultra can connect to my Deco X50. Even my note 10. They both support Wi-fi 6
Galaxy S
Same as the previous comment, Deco X50 is only a Wi-Fi 6 mesh, not a Wi-Fi 6E.

Still unable to scan the 6ghz band. I am only able to connect to wifi 6(which is using the 5ghz band) but not the 6e(which uses the 6ghz band)
I think NTC certified phones are locked since the Philippines hasn't allowed yet the use of the said frequency

Thanks, @Beefy314! That's was what I'm thinking as well. Not sure when will NTC permits 6E here in the PH. Hopefully before the release of S24. Haha!

Just a wishful thinking. I know this is not an issue on the Samsung's end, but rather this a regulatory matter that our NTC mandates.

With that said, I'd rather purchase my S23U in SG since 6E is not restricted there.

Check hardwarezone sg forums. It seems Singapore hasn't adopted wifi 6e yet

Oh yeah, you're right. I stand corrected. SG has not adapted 6E as well.

I can verify wifi 6e connectivity. I'm using the linksys mx8500 mesh wifi network, and i can connect to my 6GHz network using the s23 ultra. I have seen connection speeds of 1.9Gbps connection speed. I haven't been able to test the throughput but I have seen the connection speed show that.

I can see the connection speed by going to settings, connections, wifi, then click the gear icon next to my wifi connection when on my 6GHz network, and from there it will show the network speed.

Normally it hovers around 1.4Gbps, but as I said, i've seen it as high as 1.9Gbps
