I am writing to bring to your attention an issue that has come to my attention regarding the MURA effect on our devices. This issue manifests as individual pixels struggling to maintain the same brightness level as their surrounding pixels. It becomes particularly noticeable in low-light conditions, such as a dark room, when the phone's brightness is set below 10% and a gray background is displayed.

Mod, I kindly request your assistance in investigating this matter and developing a solution to address this issue.

I concur with you on this. Just got my S24U for less than a week from pre-order. I've always used my phone in low brightness settings and couldn't help noticing the unevenness of the gradients displayed. I've also noticed mine (production: 05/02/24, Korea SEC) has a banding issues too. Not sure if this is happening to anyone else (coz i dont see any complaints of it on the LYN forum, just alot of various complaints on Reddit for the 1st batch manufactured sets from Vietnam), or maybe... people just simply do not know what to look for. I've compared it with my trusty S20 side by side and there's no MURA nor banding happening on that screen. I do design and look at colours for a living, so this kinda irks me to no end.

Question is, is it a hardware issue or a software issue? Kinda disappointed coz I've been a Samsung user since the Galaxy S2. I hope Samsung have a solution for this.

Sadly Samsung claimed that it's one of the characteristics of Amoled screen... and I do believe it's hardware issue.

i call it BS. i can understand the 'softer, natural' colors is the in thing, but not the weird uneven discoloration from a perfectly toned gradient/gray colour only under low brightness like we complained about. I also have alot to say about the camera's janky shifting when transitioning between zoom levels... lol but i heard that could be fixed by downloading another app (like we dont have enough apps to bloat the phone)

Really disappointed, Samsung.

I have this issue on my s24 ultra, bring to SC they want flash my phone to check but I rejected since I didn't made any backup yet. But after I further confirm with them if after flash and confirm not software issue then how? They replied me will pop my phone out for diagnostic. Hell no, why pop my new phone, it definitely a hardware issue, as I check reddit, quite a lot facing grainy screen issue and it related to hardware. They receive 1 to 1 exchange for the phone, but some still facing the same issue after replace it

Lately, I noticed on mine too when I woke up at 4 or 5 AM to take a peek at the "Charging Information" screen shown. Usually it is dark screen with the battery % lighted. Now it sometimes lit up in multi coloured pixels at very low brightness, which looks like static and grayish, along with the battery % Information.
